Description: Taking a variety of trails our route will dip in and out of Pine Canyon until finally climbing into lovely meadows for our return back to Borges Ranch. Highlights include the spectacular Castle Rock cliffs, gentle flowing Pine Creek, Buckle Point and Little Yosemite. Wildflowers should be abundant. Allow 7 hours for this 9 mile hike with a total elevation gain of about 1700 feet. Bring layered clothing and plenty of water. Steady relaxed pace with a 30-minute lunch and other rest breaks. Be prepared for mud and poison oak. Rain cancels.
